4 Nice words, excellent harmonies, more to come!
These brothers, origninally from Canada and now hailing from Nashville make a certain splash with their self-titled CD. From "When God Made You," written for them by Garth Brooks, to their own composition (written for the Special Olympics), "Don't Judge This Book" to thoughts of world peace in "Guns of Love" their harmonies and execution are right on. The music itself is a little simplistic, but that's what makes country unique and broad-reaching. "Mama Never Told Me" speaks to first crushes, as does "I Think She Likes Me" -- one can't help but remember their own similar feelings. Harmonious cover of the Beatles' "This Boy" is also notable. The Moffatts certainly aren't going to supplant Garth Brooks in the hearts and minds of present-day country, but their music, and their attitude, is fresh and clean. This record is a couple of years old, and Scott, Dave, Bob, and Clint have moved more towards a "southern rock" feel in their music, and now also play their own instruments. Well worth purchasing, in my opinion, and this group is also worth watching in the future.
